DRIP Signs 5,100 Square-Foot Lease for Permanent Venue on International Drive

DRIP to provide guests with an interactive, wet and intriguing dance show accompanied by raining liquids, flying powders, a live rock band and a colored beer bar.

ORLANDO, Fla. (November 2, 2011) -- Established and critically-acclaimed performance art group DRIP recently signed a building lease on International Drive in Orlando’s tourist and convention district -- turning the former vacant 5,100 square-foot retail space into an interactive entertainment venue for locals, vacationers and conventioneers alike.

DRIP will offer a nightlife experience unique to Orlando, and much different than the current International Drive offerings. Visitors will taste a variety of colored beers while watching DRIP’s equally visual rock concert where dancers will perform with raining liquids and colored powders directly next to the audience, creating an all new definition of “splash zone.”

“This has been a dream in the making for several years now,” said DRIP Founder, CEO and Creative Director Jessica Mariko. “We are fortunate to have just the right timing in order to not only find a perfect venue, but in the perfect location. We have been active members of the area arts community for many years, and we are excited to now join Orlando’s thriving tourism community as well.”

An eclectic and highly experienced team of creatives and entrepreneurs are working together to make this concept a reality. The team consists of people who have worked with Cirque du Soleill ®, Blue Man Group, House of Blues and Hard Rock LIVE just to name a few.

DRIP has been creating arts entertainment experiences featuring performance art installations, dance and music for the last five years. Their first show was at the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival and then they branched out to do other publicly ticketed events, as well as creating entertainment for special entities such as WWE Wrestlemania, Isleworth Tavistock Golf Tournament, Orlando conventions and more.

The building is located at 8747 International Drive, Orlando, Fl 32819 just two doors down from Howl at the Moon. DRIP plans to open in early 2012, initially offering shows starting at $29 per person several nights of the week, with plans to eventually stay open everyday of the week, offering multiple show times per night. DRIP is poised to hire up to 50 staff, including performers and administrative staff within the first year of operation.
